PAL Lesson-Teamwork

The children were excited about their first PAL lesson this Term. In Term 1, we had Performing Arts. This term, it was Outdoor Learning. For our first PAL lesson in Term 2, the children learned the importance about teamwork.

This was achieved through two simple and fun activities.

Activity 1 
For the first activity, they were required to work in groups to balance a bowl of water on a piece of ground sheet. Next , they are required to transport this bowl over a distance. It may sound like a simple activity but it does required a lot of communication and teamwork.

The first group that failed the mission were upset and angry with each other.
The second group that tried succeed after the first try.

Then , the first group tried again after  a briefing to discuss what are the important things to look out for.They were instructed to listen to the leader, move at the same pace, hold the ground sheet tight and work as a team. The team succeed at their second try.

Activity 2 - Crossing the River

For the second activity, the team was required to cross a "poison river" by only stepping on 6 sheets of paper.
